LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Larry Johnson's professional football career may be over, but his run-ins with the law are not.

The former Chiefs running back was arrested early Friday morning for domestic battery in Las Vegas. His bail is $15,000. He has a hearing set for 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to the Las Vegas Police Department, officers were called out to the Bellagio around 4:19 a.m., after Johnson allegedly choked his ex-girlfriend.

The police report states that she was found on a hallway floor in nothing but her underwear and a transparent blouse, with visible marks all over her body and bruises on her neck. Officers said Johnson allegedly told hotel security officials that his ex-girlfriend would not press charges, "same as last time," and then bragged about being released from charges before.

In the report, officers say the victim told them she ran into Johnson while she was out drinking with friends. They went back to his hotel room to catch up and were talking about his daughter when she said he became enraged and started to beat her. She said she tried to hit him to get him off of her.

Johnson was found with small cuts on his face. He told officers he "never laid a finger" on the alleged victim, according to the police report.

Johnson had his share of off-the-field problems in Kansas City. Those issues led to his release from the Chiefs in 2009 after seven seasons. He spent time with Cincinnati, Washington and Miami. The Dolphins released him after just one game in 2011. He has not played in the NFL since.
