KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City Chiefs spokesman at the highest level told me Wednesday night there is absolutely “no truth” in the rumors that Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel are out.
A former Kansas City radio host, Nick Wright, now working in Houston, tweeted late Wednesday afternoon that he had a "reliable" source at Arrowhead who said Pioli and Romeo have been told they would not be back next year.
Pioli has come under heavy criticism for this horrible season the Chiefs are going through.
My high level Chiefs spokesman told me Wednesday night that all the rumors circulating about the demise of Pioli are unfounded and untrue.
The source also told me a report linking Pioli to a job with the Tennessee titans is totally false.
