KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Chiefs have until 3 p.m. Monday to sign wide receiver Dwayne Bowe to a long-term contract.
If a deal is not reached, Bowe will get a one-year deal as the team’s franchise player for about $9.5 million, but his future beyond the 2012 season will be in question.
There’s been little news out of Arrowhead Stadium in recent weeks about the talks with Bowe.
Reports have surfaced that the receiver does not plan on holding out if he does not have a new contract by training camp.
We asked viewers to “Smack Back” about the Bowe contract talks on our website.
“Resign him,” Tim aid. “He is a highly underrated and undervalued player.”
But Hunter disagrees. “Bowe drops too many passes for me. I say trade him.”
To see more of what people had to say about Bowe (and our sportscast with Jack Harry and Frank Boal), watch the video above.
