KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Shaun Smith fought the law, and the Chiefs defensive lineman won.
The NFL has decided to drop a $10,000 fine levied against Smith for allegedly grabbing the groin of San Francisco's Anthony Davis.
Smith immediately appealed the fine. This week he received a letter from the NFL stating they were dropping the fine because the video evidence was inconclusive.
"I fought the case. I'm happy. It's still a process. Look at all the bashing my name and all that does. I have kids. My kids look at it."
Smith was accused of grabbing an opponent's groin in back-to-back games early this season.
