Several weeks ago in this space, I pleaded with baseball fans to pull together and let David Glass know that we're fed up with him as the owner of the Royals.

It's well-documented that this team has been a disaster on the field in the last dozen years under his ownership.

The recent payroll tax fiasco finally persuaded baseball fan Joe Accurso to launch a website called No-more-glass.com.

Accurso has penned an open letter to Glass, encouraging him to sell the Royals.

The site is intended to raise enough money to help place a full page ad in the KC Star's sports section.

I'm told, according to the star's weekday ad rates, it will take $11,000 to get the letter in print.

From my understanding, the letter has been submitted and approved by the Star for print.

It is in no way intended to make a profit.

If the goal is not reached, a refund will be made through PayPal.

Look, I like this idea. It's a grass roots approach from a normal fan, who believes it’s time to speak out.

Who knows, maybe the Cerner Group will step forward and make a bid to buy the Royals.

Glass has made over $250 million on this baseball team.

We are gluttons for punishment for allowing this man to hoodwink us after giving him a quarter of a billion dollars to renovate Kauffman Stadium so he can make additional millions.

And we get nothing but bad baseball in return.

I encourage you to go to the website, No-more-glass.com. Read the letter and see what you think.

We, as baseball fans in this city, can make a difference.

We must unite, and this owner must go.

That’s Jack’s Smack.
