KANSAS CITY, Mo. - This week's HyVee Athlete of the Week gave one of the best performances in the area last week.
Blue Valley West running back Conley Wilkins ran for 282 yards and scored four touchdowns Friday night.
The senior led his team to a 45-21 victory over Blue Valley to win the district title.
"Our offensive line and receivers are doing an outstanding job. The defense is getting the ball in our hands and the coaches are doing an outstanding job," Wilkins said.
The Jaguars are now 7-2 this season. This is the first time in five years that Blue Valley West has defeated Blue Valley.
"He continues to impress us, week in and week out. He is such a hard runner and he's just an awesome kid," head coach Scott Wright said.
Wilkins said he hopes to play football in college, but hasn't decided where.
