KANSAS CITY, Mo. - This week’s Hy-Vee Athlete of the Week has helped lead his team to an impressive season.
Gardner-Edgerton quarterback Jared Hobby threw for more than 321 yards and four touchdowns Friday night against Olathe North. The Trailblazers squeaked past the Eagles for the 29-26 win, improving to 7-1 on the season.
"That was my second four touchdown game and my first game throwing for more than 300 yards,” Hobby said. “I never thought Y was going to get there, but I had my best game when I needed it.”
"He keeps getting better every week. He does a great job of moving the chains on third down. Then when the game is on the line, he's able to come up with the big plays that he came up with last week,” Gardner-Edgerton Head Coach Marvin Diener said.
