Kansas State University student Eric Kynard showed off his Olympic bling on national television Thursday night.
Kynard showed off his silver medal on the Late Show with David Letterman. He won the medal last week at the London Olympics.
Letterman asked Kynard how he got interested in the High Jump.
"They were doing a mile run fitness test in middle school and I personally didn't want to run a mile."
Kynard's father was also involved in track and field as a teenager.
"He was recruited by Kansas State and coming up he always said I should have gone to K-State," Kynard told Letterman.
The 21-year-old from Toledo, Ohio was one of three Americans competing in the finals.
Kynard is getting ready to start his senior year in Manhattan, where he is studying business.
