(NBC) - Fans who want to keep track of the Olympics while they are on the go can watch the games on their mobile devices.

NBC has launched two mobile apps that will let fans watch events as they happen.

The apps are available for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

NBC said most of the content will be available only to subscribers who have MSNBC and CNBC as part of their service.

The apps, called "NBC Olympics" and "NBC Olympics Live," are free to download.

NBC said this is the first time that all the Olympic events, more than 35,000 hours of coverage, will be available on smart phones and tablet computers.

The Opening Ceremonies are July 27.
