Houston stuns Sporting KC with 2-0 win in Eastern Conference Semifinals

HOUSTON - Sporting Kansas City will have to dig themselves out of a huge hole in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Houston took down the top seed 2-0 in the first leg of their playoff series.
The Dynamo struck early. Adam Moffat hammered a laser past Jimmy Nielsen in the 18th minute. Sporting Kansas City seemed to be pressing after that. The Dynamo added an insurance goal in the 75th minute when Will Bruin found the back of the net.
Sporting Kansas City will look to overcome that two-goal deficit when they return home for the second leg of this playoff series. Sporting KC hosts Houston Wednesday night at 8 p.m. CT.
