Woman dies in crash at intersection of Truman Road & The Paseo

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police say a woman died Thursday morning from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Truman Road and the Paseo.

It happened at about 8:20 a.m. at and involved two vehicles - a white sport utility vehicle and a greenish-blue four-door car.

Kansas City Police Sgt. Bill Mahoney said one of the vehicles ran a stoplight, but investigators weren’t sure which one.

The woman who died was the sole occupant of the four-door car. She was headed eastbound on Truman Road, Mahoney said. A woman and child inside the SUV, which was headed northbound on The Paseo, sustained minor injuries.

Both directions of Truman Road were closed and northbound Paseo was also closed at the intersection.
