KANSAS CITY, Kan. - UPDATE | The area was cleared by 3:15 p.m.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says drivers can expect delays on Interstate 35 Monday as investigators work to reconstruct the scene of a fatal accident involving a party bus.
On Saturday night, 26-year-old Jamie Frecks fell from the back door of a party bus onto the interstate and was subsequently hit by at least three other vehicles. She died on the scene.
Lane restrictions will be in effect on I-35 between 18th Street and Southwest Boulevard until around 3 p.m.
“Motorists should be prepared for delays in this area,” the post said. “It is possible multiple lanes will be closed during this process, which could take 1-2 hours to complete. We apologize for any delays, and we will make every effort to avoid shutting the road down completely.”
