JULY 13, 2012 - All that's left of a scene where two people were hurt in an apparent lightning strike at a constuction site was the remnants of rain and some low-lying clouds.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two people were transported to an area hospital after an apparent lightning strike in Kansas City early Friday, a Kansas City Fire Department spokesman said.

It happened a little before 7 a.m. at a construction site on the Route 169 bridge over 96th Street.

KCFD Public Information Officer Lew Hendricks said the victims were taken non-emergency for treatment.
