OLATHE, Kan. - Several firefighters were checked out by EMS crews at a Johnson County house fire Thursday morning, but it wasn’t the flames that were causing them problems.
The Olathe Fire Department made quick work of the fire in the 400 block of S. Cherry, but some firefighters were seen dealing with heat-related issues on the scene.
Temperatures were already nearing 90 degrees when the fire started around 9 a.m.
Nobody was transported from the scene.
The fire caused extensive damage to the home. The cause was not immediately clear.
