WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - The National Weather Service will likely issue a final rating on a tornado that struck the southeast side of Wichita this weekend.
The twister had a preliminary rating of EF-3, which means it had winds between 136 miles per hour and 165 miles per hour.
Westar Energy reported 6,236 customers in Sedgwick Coutny remained without power as of 12:30 p.m. Monday.
An even stronger tornado was reported in Ellsworth County.
