OSAWATOMIE, Kan. - A possible microburst Sunday evening damaged trees, golf carts and part of a building in Osawatomie.
Earlier in the evening, areas around the Osawatomie Golf Course and Osawatomie Lake suffered damage. 41 Action News Meteorologist George Waldenberger says the damage may have come from a microburst around 7 p.m.
Osawatomie Golf Course Director Brad Waggoner estimates that more than 50 trees suffered damage from the storm. He said some trees were as large as four-feet in diameter.
Waggoner said a pair of golf carts were blown over and some paneling on a cart storage barn came off during the storm.
Osawatomie Police dispatchers were fielding reports of damage, but said they had received no reports of any injuries from the storm.
