NORTH CAROLINA - A slow moving storm dumped as much as 10 inches of rain in parts of North Carolina.
On Sunday afternoon, crews recovered the body of a missing swimmer swept away from the raging flood waters.
It's the same place where a 10-year-old girl drowned on Saturday.
Officials have even declared a state of emergency to help with the clean-up.
“This is bad time right now, it's going to take a lot of money to fix it, I’m hoping the state will come in and help,” one resident said.
"I got up and whenever i woke up, i could only see the top of the car and i was like oh my god!" another said.
The heavy rain caused flash flooding, forcing people to leave their homes.
Several roads were also completely washed away.
