KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A second band of snow could pose a problem for New Year’s Eve plans.

Jeff Penner says periods of light snow will continue until 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. By midnight, temperatures will be in the low 20s, increasing the risk of icy roads and hazardous driving conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the majority of the viewing area, beginning at 6 a.m. Monday and continuing until 6 a.m., Jan. 1.
The following counties are under the advisory:
Atchison, Miami, Linn (Kan.), Doniphan, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson (Kan.), Andrew, De Kalb, Daviess, Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell, Livingston-Linn (Mo.), Macon, Platte, Clay, Ray, Carroll, Chariton, Randolph, Jackson, Lafayette, Saline, Howard, Cass, Johnson (Mo.), Pettis, Cooper, Bates, and Henry
