KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Missouri marina on Harry S. Truman Reservoir was the target of a microburst Saturday afternoon.

One dock at the Sterett Creek Marina near Warsaw was lifted out of the water and landed upside down. Benton County Sheriff Rick Fajen said at least a dozen boats at the marina have sunken to the bottom.

A marina employee said it will likely take the rest of the summer to repair the dock.

Boaters said around 4:30 p.m., a storm barreling out of the southeast whipped up intense wind and rain. People caught out on the water quickly headed towards shore, but some were forced to ride out the storm in the middle of the lake.

Mike Hennis of St. Louis and three other men sought refuge under a bridge while they were out fishing. For a time, they were considered "unaccounted for" but were soon located by authorities.

No one was injured.
