Video released by the United States Coast Guard shows the rescue of the HMS Bounty's crew Monday morning off the coast of North Carolina.

The Bounty may be the most well-known victim of what was once Hurricane Sandy.

The three-masted ship was used in several Hollywood movies.

The Coast Guard hoisted 14 crew members out of the dangerous seas to safety.

A 15th person on board was recovered in a search, but was later pronounced dead. The Coast Guard is still searching for the ship's captain.

A giant wave tossed the captain and recently found crewmember into the water as they were abandoning the ship.

The Bounty sank shortly after the rescue.

The replica of an 18th century ship was most famously featured in the 1962 movie, "Mutiny on the Bounty."
