KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A FedEx jet experienced problems on the runway at Kansas City International Airport Thursday morning as heavy snow fell in the region.
Airport spokesman Joe McBride says the plane had landed around 5:30 a.m. but could not navigate a turn and became stuck on the runway.
The plane had to be towed to the hangar. A second runway was opened while the plane was stuck.
“There were no delays as a result of that to the airlines,” McBride said in a live interview on 41 Action News Today.
