The United States Postal Service delivered packages in some Kansas City-area communities Sunday because of delays from last week’s snow storm and in anticipation of another storm on Monday.

“To help keep letter carriers safe, we ask customers to clear as much snow as possible from walkways, steps, porches and from around rural-type and cluster mailboxes,” Kansas City Postmaster Deborah Woodrum said.

The following communities served by USPS post offices had packages delivered on Sunday, Feb. 24.

• Kansas City, MO
• Independence, MO
• Lee’s Summit, MO
• Blue Springs, MO
• Kansas City, KS
• Shawnee Mission, KS
• Olathe, KS
• Lawrence, KS
• Leavenworth, KS
