For the second summer in a row, a large group of bats moved into the second-story shutters of Trent and Erica Buxton's Louisiana home. Trent grabbed the hose and started spraying the shutters, hoping the bats would fly away. Erica started screaming but managed to count as many as 80 adult bats, some carrying babies, as they flew away. In the rush to get away from the water, more than a dozen baby bats were left behind. The Buxton family was able to gather them and left them in a box outside. After going back into the home, they watched as the mama bats swooped in and took their babies.
