SPRING HILL, Kan. - Bicycles were rolling through Kansas Saturday as riders headed out on the Bike MS ride to benefit the MS Society.
The annual event kicked off near the Garmin corporate headquarters in Olathe early Saturday, with over 2000 riders joining in on the 37, 73 or 103 mile routes.
Riders will end their day in South Park in Lawrence, where they can participate in the Gears & Grooves Festival. Riders will make the return trip back to Olathe Sunday.
The event is a major annual fundraiser for the Kansas City chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The group uses money raised by events like Bike MS to fund support programs, services and research dedicated to finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
