PBS Chef brings his cooking talents to Kansas City

Chef Steven Meese , from PBS's "A Chef's Journey", is in Kansas City for a special dinner event to help raise money for Cultivate KC. Chef Meese often works to support grassroots organizations like Cultivate KC.

Pan Seared Maple Leaf Farms Duck
serves 4

Ingredients
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup of dijon mustard
2 2tbs balsamic vinager
1 tbs honey
1\4 cup peach preserve
sea or kosher salt to taste

Preparation
Wisk ingredients in small mixing bowl
In small sauce, pan bring to a boil reduce mixture 3 -5 min 
until sauce thickens, coats back of spoon

Duck Preperation 
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Score duck breasts
Season breasts on both sides 
In medium sautee pan, sear breasts on medium-low heat until skin is golden brown crispy 
Place breasts on sheet pan in oven for 16-18 min 
Remove let duck rest 3-5 min on cutting board
Slice duck across the grain, and serve with hot glaze
