Banana Split Pizza
½ recipe for basic pizza dough
canola oil as needed to brush the dough
1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
2/3 cups strawberries, sliced
2 bananas, unpeeled
¼ cups shredded coconut
Preheat your grill to high.
1.) Place the unpeeled bananas on the grill and cook, turning once, for about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
2.) Spread out your pizza dough, pressing with your finger to spread it and cut down on bubbles when it cooks.
3.) Brush oil on the surface facing up and flip the dough onto the grill. Turn the heat to medium, close the lid and cook until grill marks appear, about 3 minutes.
4.) Flip the dough over and spread the chocolate hazelnut spread over the dough, leaving a rim of crust for grabbing.
5.) Close the lid of the grill and grill for about 5 minutes more, or until the spread is melted and soft.
6.) Remove from the heat and place the strawberry slices over the chocolate nut spread. Open and slice the banana. Spread the banana slices over the strawberries.
7.) Sprinkle the coconut over it all and serve with a scoop of vegan ice cream on top, if so desired.
