Local company teams up with Kansas City Symphony for one-of-a-kind performance

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Engage Mobile Solutions and the Kansas City Symphony release unprecedented videos, giving viewers a first-hand look at what it’s like to a member of a professional orchestra.

Three musicians and music director, Michael Stern, wore Google Glass while the orchestra rehearsed Beethoven’s iconic Fifth Symphony last month.

This is the largest coordinated activity ever done with Google Glass in the nation, outside of Google Headquarters. It is also the first time four pairs of Google Glass have been worn at the same time by members of a professional orchestra.

Viewers can see rehearsal from the point-of-views of Elizabeth Schellhase Gray, horn, Evan Halloin, bass, Heidi Han, violin and Michael Stern, conductor.
