KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Miley Cyrus has cancelled her Tuesday night show at the Sprint Center after a “severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.”
According to a news release, tickets bought online or by phone will be automatically refunded.
"I'm just really mad at her. I don't understand why she would do it to us," Cyrus fan Skylee Huffer said.
"We paid for a hotel. We drove all the way up here and now we don't really know what to do now that the concert is cancelled," fellow fan Cassei Hagedorn said.
Others were more forgiving.
A spokesperson for the arena said that all of the roughly 14,000 tickets sold would be refunded. But that's not good enough for some die-hard fans.
"I mean, we're upset, but we're not mad at Miley. This is the second time on the tour that she;s cancelled and we drove all the way here," Kenzie Gage said.
Shortly after the announcement, Cyrus tweeted a photo from her hospital bed and said the doctors taking care of her were "amazing."
Kansas City fans have been disappointed by the star before. In October 2009, her show at the Sprint Center was pushed back two weeks for a similar mystery illness.
Just last week, Cyrus cancelled a North Carolina concert after reportedly coming down with the flu.
On Wednesday morning, she tweeted out that doctors would not be releasing her yet and that she would also have to cancel her concert in St. Louis, Mo.
the hospital is sayin i wont b released today😿 therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control.— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) April 16, 2014
She has been touring the country as part of her “BANGERZ” tour.
