On the set of Blacklist, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the story line-- if even just in one-minute takes done multiple times.
While there, I watched a scene shot in the War Room. Aram is explaining how they located one man on a list of over 40 others. I was back behind pillars with the director where we watched on monitors with a distant shot through two pillars of the actors at work.
There are extras on set, actors and actresses not named on the show’s website, but in scenes sprinkled throughout.
I met Young Jeohn, an extra on the show. He was standing just feet away before someone yelled “background” and he had to walk out into the war room.
I ran into him later in the commons area and learned his name and got this picture.
You can watch for him in tonight’s episode at 9 p.m. on NBC.
I also met these sweet girls, Lauren and Leah. They are 6 years old and share a role in The Kingmaker episode. They play the daughter of a prominent couple.
The girls live in Pennsylvania. Their mom says she got the call on Tuesday that the girls had gotten the part and they’d need to be there the next day. She says it was a rush to get the proper paperwork and get them to New York. On the day I was there, their mom had just been told the girls would be coming back another day for another shoot.
