Meteorologist Kalee Dionne joined 41 Action News in April, 2013. Prior to joining 41 Action News, Kalee was the morning meteorologist for “Wake Up Alabama” at WIAT-TV in Birmingham, Alabama.
In 2011, Kalee was brought to a new level of excellence in her weather broadcasting career. On April 27, a strong line of tornadoes decimated the state of Alabama. Kalee was on the front lines, morning and night, covering the deadly storms that resulted in the death of 243 people. That coverage earned Kalee and her weather team several broadcast honors, including a prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award.
A graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Kalee has also served as meteorologist at WSIL-TV in Carterville/Carbondale and WCIA-TV in Champaign, Illinois. An avid singer, she has performed at Walt Disney World, Cedar Point, and Carnival Cruise Lines.
In her spare time, Kalee enjoys running, participating in her first marathon in 2011. She is also a huge fan of Chicago sports and cheers for the Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks and Bulls.
