OVERLAND PARK, Kansas - Some children will have a nicer place to lay their heads at
night thanks to a program called, Sleepyhead Beds.
The goal of the program is to collect gently used mattresses for
children who would otherwise go without.
Ryann Wilds, a volunteer organizer, said, “We take gently
used mattresses with no stains or tears and we’re giving
these beds to little kids so we want to be respectful of them and
give them safe places to sleep.
After the beds are cleaned and organized, the group delivers
them to families who need them.
