Therapy dogs providing relief to special need people of all ages

SALINA, Kansas - A Kansas school is relying on a four legged friend to help children succeed.

Cayden Aenderson, 13, has tuberous sclerosis and the disease results in tumors to form on his body. Aenderson has more than 40 benign tumors. The disease affects his walking and cognitive development.

But thanks to this therapy dog, Camry, she helps Aenderson walk and become more independent.

The dog is part of the Cares Program, who provides service for people of all ages.

"I think the experience with Camry can lead; it can open doors for possibilities,” said his mother Kim Aenderson.

According to Cares, their therapy dogs are used around the world.
