Leawood, Kan. - Those controversial little free libraries back in the news Monday.
City leaders in Fairway, Kan., will discuss the home made structures during a planning commission meeting.
You may have already seen the little libraries in the front yard of your neighbor's home, but the city says it needs to make sure they don't violate any city codes.
Earlier this month, there was a temporary victory for a 9-year-old boy in Leawood who got national attention for his fight for a little free library. Spencer Collins has his Free Library up, and it can stay that way until at least October when the city council will review its rules.
The city also plans to send out a survey to residents about the ordinance.
