What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than with a few dad jokes and endearing stories?

41 Action News anchors and reporters shared their favorite dad jokes and memories to celebrate.

“This dude…. My dad is awesome. A few years ago, for Thanksgiving, he laughed so hard when telling the Nacho cheese joke… as if he made it up.

‘What do you call cheese that’s not yours?’

‘Nacho Cheese.’

Seriously dude is my best friend.”

Christa Dubill:

“When we were little, my dad always told us the sound when we drove on a gravel road was turtles throwing rocks at the car. I believed that until I was old enough to realize turtles couldn’t throw rocks, but I still think of him and that story whenever I drive on a gravel road.”

“My dad would always say this this joke to us as kids:

Us: ‘Hey Dad, I'm hungry.’

Dad: ‘Hi hungry, I'm dad.’

Us: ???”

McKenzie Nelson:

“This is one of my favorite [pictures] because my dad is still ‘lifting’ me up to this day. He always has my back, lifts me up when I’m down and pushes me to be the best that I can be.

I have to say I’m proud to announce my dad has finally ditched his flip phone and joined the times with a smartphone. (Something my brothers and I teased him about for years). He hates it and is really annoyed by technology and social media. It’s definitely funny to watch him try though. Props to pops!”

Cynthia Newsome:

“How many tickles does it take to get an octopus to laugh?

Ten-tickels.”
