Kansas beef company recalls more than 50,000 pounds of meat over E. coli

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A Kansas-based company is recalling more than 50,000 pounds of beef that could be contaminated with E. coli.

The National Beef Packing Company issued the voluntary recall on Wednesday, after a sample of its product tested positive for the bacteria.

The products were produced on July 18 and were shipped to retailers, wholesalers and food service distributors nationwide.

The recalled beef products all have the establishment number "Est. 208-A" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
