KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Oklahoma Joe's won the title of Best Ribs in America, according to national food blog The Daily Meal.
"Boasting a deeply burnished shade of red thanks to a rub heavy with paprika, cumin, brown sugar, and chili powder, these ribs also happen to be picture-postcard-perfect to look at, and you'll most likely find yourself snapping a photo of them before you even take that first bite. And once you do, you'll learn what the fuss has been about," The Daily Meal wrote. It also described the ribs as moist, juicy, smoky and tender.

Doug Worgul, director of marketing for Oklahoma Joe's, said he was honored by the designation - but he had one issue with the list.
"I am in awe, and we just couldn't be more thrilled and more tickled," he said. "Personally, I think it would have been great to see a few more KC restaurants represented on the list ... I think it was an oversight on the part of the judges."
Oklahoma Joe's was also named the Manliest Restaurant in America by Men's Health last year.
