KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A new hot dog has proved that every dog really does have its day.
The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum revealed its signature “Monarch Dog” Wednesday and announced details for this year’s Heart of America Hot Dog Festival.
The NLBM has been working with HyVee chefs to create the special dog and says it was named after one of the best franchises in baseball.
“You can’t be called the Monarch if you’re not good because the Kansas City Monarchs were as good as it came when it came to the game of baseball,” NLBM President Bob Kendrick said.
The price has not yet been decided for the dog, but you can try it for the first time at the festival this year.
