Jewish Family Services volunteers help with Hanukkah

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Monday night, volunteers from Jewish Family Services wrapped gifts for families in need.

The program helps families in the metro who do not have the economic means to purchase any gifts for the Hanukkah holiday.

"The gifts are maybe a warm blanket, a new pair of shoes, laundry detergent, things that we use in our lives just to help older adults and the families we serve through this holiday season and beyond," said Rachel Krantz, development director at Jewish Family Services.

About 160 families will benefit from the drive, which starts deliveries Tuesday.
