A dog found badly abused now has a new home.
Bannister, a small Yorkshire Terrier mix, was cleared by the KC Pet Project's veterinary team on Tuesday and has been adopted by a couple who "fell in love with him and his fun personality," according to a news release from the KC Pet Project.
Bannister was found dirty and matted by a Kansas City, Missouri, police officer. The dog had suffered abuse at the hands of someone who had wrapped something tight around his muzzle, which caused severe injuries to his snout, according to the KC Pet Project. He had been living in a foster home healing from the injuries.
