KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The German Shepherd that fell 40 feet from a Kansas City overpass is well on her way to recovery.
Vets removed the splint on Lindey's right front leg Tuesday afternoon, and put a new one on her left leg.
She'll wear the splint on her left leg for another few weeks before it can come off. She broke every tendon and ligament in her front paws from a fall at the Cesar Chavez viaduct. Witnesses say they believe she was thrown.
As soon as she is fully healed, Lindey will be up for adoption.
The Piper Heritage Vet Clinic treated her, thanks to more than $14,800 in donations for the surgery.
Investigators are now offering a $2,000 reward for anyone with information to help find who hurt her.
