KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A unique photography exhibit is helping bring playgrounds to kids with special needs in the Kansas City area.
Photographer Cathryn Farley stopped by 41 Action News Midday to talk about her journey in photography and why she wants to help ‘Variety Kc.'
The exhibit ‘Secret Italy' features the photos Farley took, while journeying through Italy last year. She started in Milan and avoided the tourist destinations that most people visit.
The organization her work will benefit is ‘Variety KC.' It is dedicated to raising money to strengthen and reinforce agency programs for special needs children.
Proceeds will benefit the McCoy Park Project, which is a playground for special needs kids in Independence, Mo.
The exhibit is November 3 at the 2009 Gallery in the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City, Mo. It runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It is a free event.
