KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Six months after announcing it was relocating from Lenexa to Kansas City, Applebee's moved into their new headquarters Monday.
The popular restaurant chain said in May they were moving from Renner Road to Ward Parkway.
It's believed Kansas City Mayor Sly James offered the company an extensive economics package to come across the state line.
The move took with it 390 jobs.
Inside the new headquarters are a test kitchen, a mini Applebee's and large hallways for meetings.
"It will take a little while to learn the lay of the land; we're having a few fun little tours today so people can understand where all the different departments are," said Applebee's communications manager Melissa Racer.
Applebee's old headquarters in Lenexa will soon be home to the EPA, which is moving out of Kansas City, Kan.
