KANSAS CITY, Mo. - If you haven't had a chance to head down to the Kansas City Zoo and see the new penguin exhibit, Monday could be the perfect day to venture to Swope Park.
Residents who live in Jackson and Clay counties can get into the zoo for free Monday.
More than a dozen zoo keepers will be on hand to answer your questions and let you see the animals up close.
"It's an excellent opportunity to see the penguins. Nakita is still here and he's still a rock star at the front gate," animal curator Joni Hartman said. "They get to see him along with all the other animals."
The zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
