KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-America Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a second year of helping business owners.
The organization formed in the summer of 2012.
Since then, more than 190 businesses and individuals in Kansas City have gotten involved.
"It shouldn't make a difference whether you're black, white, green, grey or blue for business owners to learn a little bit more about each other," Chamber President Dan Nilsen said. "My Dream is that we don't need a Chamber like this -- we can all belong to the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce."
The Chamber's goal is to promote, support and help the LGBT community succeed.
