KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A popular Platte County restaurant is temporarily closed after it was damaged by fire late Thursday night.
LC’s Hamburgers, in Kansas City, Mo., has significant damage to the kitchen and façade, as well as smoke and water damage. But owner Mark Potts said he plans to make repairs and reopen as soon as possible.
The fire started around 11 p.m. Potts said it appears to have been started by an electrical problem in the sign on the front of the building. No one was injured in the fire.
Potts started working at LC’s in 1985, and then bought the place 17 years ago. He said he’s received a lot of support from friends in the community.
“I spent 28 years of my life here working, and I just hate to see it,” Potts said.
