KANSAS CITY, Mo. - If all goes as planned, the Cosby Hotel will be something to remember at Ninth and Baltimore in downtown Kansas City.
It was built in 1881 as a building for doctors.
It later became a hotel and has been closed for about 15 years.
The Sunflower Development Group is the newest owner.
They hope to restore the building and make it an important part of downtown.
"We've got several ideas. We'd love office suites or find a tenant. Maybe a marketing or ad firm that could come in and make the whole space their own creative spot," said Mark Moberly of the Sunflower Development Group.
The group hopes to have the building ready in a year.
They said they already have a list of potential clients.
