Beau Williams (seen here) and his wife, Keely Edgington, plan to open a whiskey-focused bar and eatery called Julep in 2014 in Westport.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Westport will be home to a new bar and restaurant next spring that focuses on whiskey.
Keely Edgington and her husband, Beau Williams, who is currently general manager and head bartender at craft-cocktail emporium Manifesto, will open Julep next year at 4141 Pennsylvania St.
They hope to open in March 2014.
They currently operate a cocktail catering company called Hawthorne & Julep. They have a silent partner backing them financially, Edgington said.
The name of their new place comes from the mint julep cocktail – a combination of bourbon, mint, sugar and water.
