Professional level hiring is expected to rise 10% in the first quarter of 2012

Even though the holidays are approaching, recruiters say December is a great time to job search. 

According to the Robert Half Professional Employment Report, professional-level hiring is expected to rise a net 10 percent in the first quarter of 2012.  That's the highest jump in the last year.

In addition, the study found that 67 percent of executives are having a hard time finding skilled employees up from 59 percent last quarter and 42 percent in the third quarter.  Eighty-seven percent of respondents said they are at least somewhat confident in their organizations' ability to grow in the first quarter of 2012.

The report showed that the legal industry is expected to have biggest net increase, 27 percent in the first quarter of next year.  Advertising and marketing showed a 14 percent net increase, sales and business 11 percent, information technology 10 percent, accounting and finance 9 percent and human resources 8 percent.
