3 in custody after two-state, high-speed chase

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three people are in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase that began in Kansas City, Kan., and ended on the south side of the downtown loop.

Kansas City, Kan., Police tried to stop a car with three people inside shortly after 3 p.m. at 10th and Mill streets on the Kansas side in regard to a prior armed robbery. The car took off, heading east into Missouri, where Kansas City, Mo., Police picked up the pursuit. The chase, at speeds upwards of 75 miles per hour, traveled on Interstate Highways 29 and 435, and city streets, before the suspects headed back west on I-70.

They eventually came to a stop at I-670 and Locust Street, where the occupants were taken into custody.
