Belton police investigate man's death after fight at Frankie and Johnny's Puband Grille

BELTON, Mo. - Police are investigating the circumstances that led to one man's death early Sunday.

At about 1 a.m., Belton Police were called out to the parking lot near Frankie and Johnny's Pub and Grille, in the 17200 block of South 71 Highway in Belton.

Police said they were responding to a large fight in the area.

When they arrived, police spotted a car leaving the parking lot, and stopped the car.

One of the people inside the car said they were leaving because a man with them was having a medical issue.

An ambulance was called. Paramedics transported the man to Belton Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the man as 33-year-old Brad M. Richardson, of Independence, Mo. They have not made any arrests in the case.

The owner of Frankie and Johnny's Pub and Grille told 41 Action News the fight happened in the parking lot. 

She said she did not know much about the incident, and declined to comment.
